Dallas area: need recommendation for mechanic

I'm looking for a recommendation for an independent BMW repair shop/mechanic in the North Dallas (Texas) area. Ideally north of LBJ (I live in Denton), but more important than location is that it is a good shop in the DFW area that knows these cars (M Coupe/Roadster). I'm looking for someone to do my rear wheel bearings and also ongoing service. I've been using a shop that mostly services Porsches (they are very well respected in the Porsche community) but when I started talking to them about sub frame bushings and rear wheel bearings on my M Coupe, I didn't get a feeling of confidence in their responses. I don't think they've seen many M coupe/roadsters come through their shop.

-thanks!

C'mon, there has to be some Dallas area Z/M owners out there with a good shop/mechanic recommendation.

Sorry, I use Moritz for the standard stuff and a friend for odd jobs, but he doesn't have an official shop and is also south of town. I can recommend a shop near Love Field, but that's probably a bit out of your way.

Of course if my mechanic seemed confused by servicing bearings and bushings, I'd run as fast as possible! If that sort of thing scares them, what will they do if the Vanos bits need service? Also, are they an air-cooled Porsche place? If so, more reason to find a new shop since your car doesn't have much in common with pre-996/986 cars.

Sorry not to be of more help, just don't know anyone north of NW Hwy.

Ben
