For all around pratical uses of a car, the auto is really easy to live with. For something sportier than my 5er, you have to go with the stik.

No, I've driven manuals all my life, but I went with a 2002 530iA (which I don't have anymore). I regretted getting a Steptronic and will never do it again.

If only Steptronic is available - NO! I hate Steptronic, period.
If SMG is also available, I may consider giving up manual.
