Need to check the cost of the parts. And I would like to see whats involved in the repair. Are there special tools needed?

The dealer decided it was too labor intensive for my M Coupe and replaced the gear-box instead.

Attachment is the pic from the EPC (33_0364). Parts 25, 26 and 27 (can be had as a set as part 28).
Not sure how you'd replace these without transmission disassembly. 23-21-502 from the TIS. I like the "Catch pin for 5th/reverse gear falls out".
Long list of special tools for this job, lots of labor. It's no wonder dealers have just swapped out the whole transmission.

I believe they are replaceable without dissassembly of the tranny.
