surface rust on bolts and exhaust brackets

Hay kids,

Just wondering if anyone else has seen the appearance of some rust on some of the lesser protected parts on their undersides? Despite my stainless stock exhaust, the brackets where one section bolts to the next is pretty rusty looking. There are some bolt heads and a spot or two on my gas tank strap that have some surface rust showing too. My car in a '99, and I'm wondering if this is normal. I have actually ordered some Waxoyl to try a little proactive maintenance possibly this weekend. One of my last cars was a 1972 Checker Marathon taxi that I loved to death, but had to sell because I couldn't keep up with the rust...so I am a bit paranoid. I am assuming I have some humidity issues, as my passenger door lock actuator gave up the ghost (and I think they are most vulnerable to moisture because of bad sealing).

Overall, everything looks really good under there...it seems I always have to worry about something...

Thanks...and carry on...chat amongst yourselves!

Although I don't let the Rust Check guys drill holes in my cars to spray, I do keep an aerosol can of their product around to spray a few times a year on those "tough to protect" areas. Works like a charm.

Haven't seen anything but maybe its too early on for an 02.

But nevermind that, where are the pics from the install?

I haffa get the disposable camera pics developed (the one I gave to the tech)...and I have to upload the digi ones from my old-school Panasonic VHS-C cam-corder/digital camera. Hopefully this weekend I'll get them suckas up. Sad thing is, I haven't even had a chance to drive her since the ride home from the shop! I owed the little lady BIG time after that purchase, so went on some pre-wedding errands all weekend! I plan on making up for it this weekend with some undercarriage detailing and muchos driving!
