Shrick manifold showed up today unannounced; I guess it goes on the red car...

Zainsville aluminum radiator:

Nice casting; no remnants of flash inside or out:

Nice logo too:

Port close up:

Rarely seen shot of valves; impressive amount of lift from stock cam:

Comparison of OEM vs Shrick manifolds:

Big difference in port area:

Start to finish two (2) hours later:

(actually, still waiting on AA to ship injectors/turbo, etc., etc....)

Very impressive
Great work, I wish I lived somewhere near you. I'd be there trying to learn as much as I can...of course I'd have my car there to learn on.
Please send me a copy of your detailed step by step process of this project

Tell us about that red coupe. Who does it belong to? I just purchased the S54 radiator for my car. What radiator is that? It looks like it is a major industrial strength job.

The Shrick manifold was pretty expensive the last time I looked. What kind of results are expected from its addition to stock cams? Are you adding anything else to enhance performance?

Thanks Woody.

Yes, as the owner of two (2) M cars, I wished you lived closer too (or us living in Hawaii would be acceptible too...).

The red Coupe, a 2000 model from Minnesota arrived here via transporter nearly two (2) months ago. I did the dual ear differential mod straight-away.

The car's owner then decided to have me remove its Dinan supercharger setup (in service 2000 miles) to fit an Active Autowerke's Stage II turbocharger package.

The radiator is (as previously stated) from Zionsville and is an S-52 version. They do offer an S-54 version complete with all required oil cooler components (filter housing, lines & cooler matrix). With oil cooler (E-36 shown, but Z Series available). This is the one shown above.

The Shrick manifold (or even the OEM S-50 version) is said to be worth 40 hp with the AA Stg II pkg. If AA's claims are accurate, this Coupe should produce something in the neighborhood of 450 - 500 crankshaft horsepower. Still waiting on the bulk of the package to arrive (custom-built kit for the Z Series...).

Should be interesting. Will ask Daniel to try out his new OBDII diagnostics to verify afr's during initial testing.

The Dinan supercharger components removed will find their way onto the black car sometime this summer. That puts my only major cash outlay for the upgrade (to a rumored 340 hp) to buy the software from a Dinan dealer; around $800.
