Was reading a BMW bulletin on wiring.
"The staff in the workshop (mechanics, vehicle electricians and mechatronicians) can all look at the wiring...."
Have never seen that term. Google it and there are many references. At work we called them System Specialists.

That's a new one on me too. Even harder to pronounce than swaged...

The oilfield called them ISTs: integrated systems technicians.

While I have an Economics degree, my younger brother actually graduated from San Jose State with an Engineering degree, and his specialization was actually in Mechatronics.
