They are called Ocean series, obviously for marine applications. But some Z3 folks might be interested in them. They are backlit like Visions, but they have white fiber optic needles like the stock center gauges and analog clocks. Unlike visions, they have the ISO symbols for each measurement (ie: little oil can instead of the word "oil"). They have changeable bezels, including chrome. You can change them yourself without a professional crimping tool. VDO offers several colors of bezel. They have a place on the gauge for an idiot light, which I think is a nice feature. I rigged an LED to the oil pressure gauge shown here. One downside is the thickness of the bezel. They are pretty thick compared to M chrome rings. Maybe this would be okay on an a-pillar application. Another downside (to some people) is they are dual-range metric and SAE. Some people like that and have asked for it, some prefer a cleaner look. I assume the thicker bezel and deeper gauge face offset helps visibility under bright sunlight some. I was hoping the idiot light was rigged to the gauge, but it turns out they are totally independent of one another. This means you need to run another wire from the sender to the gauge. |

Are you guys planning to offer your kits with that as an option or replace the Vision series with it? (Option seems more likely since there is a noticable price difference huh?)
I've been considering swapping the Vision gauges in my kit out with those since the white needles match my non-M interior better.

We're playing with the idea of making it an option.
I also wonder about adding more brands of gauges like ISSPRO or Defi. It would be a lot more work for me to stock, track, and support however and Andy already has me spread pretty thin. Certainly doable as special orders for now.

They look good in his gray console.

Quote: | They look good in his gray console. | Agreed. That's why we have been considering stocking them. Just open an account and boom.

I've been browsing various gauges when I came across the Ocean Line, and ISSPRO was another brand I was seriously looking at as well.
