After Ron posted the Mini Cooper Folding Chock I bought one. This weekend when I was working on my car for the first time in a long time, I was looking for a place to store it. There is space in the tool kit and near the mobility kit. It would probably even fit into an oil bag. The folding chock does have a piece of carpet insulation to keep it from rattling against itself, but that won't prevent it from rattling against other things. Especially if stowed near the tool kit. Partially just to see how it would turn out and partially because I was not inspired to sew up another batch of SMG Cinnamon boot bundles, I made a leather "holster" for mine. Initially I thought black vinyl would be the best choice, but if you have leather in stock and no vinyl, you go right for the leather. The high-end kind. Turned out nice. I started to sew piece of velcro to it in order to secure the cover flap, but realized half way through that a slot cut would be simpler and cleaner. More German this way. It's overkill. But a lot more interesting than building the same boots again. And again. And again. |

Nice work. I also like the background "sunset" color for staging the pics!

Quote: Very cool Jon, Did you say it does fit in the tool kit or have you tried yet? any chance I can contract you to make a similiar holder for some tools, (hardtop tool, air guage, lug cap tool, tire pin.? in the same fashion with a flap but maybe a certian place for each tool | I wrapped the folding MINI chock in bubble wrap, put it in a Ziploc bag and it fits very nicely in the passenger-side jack tray along-side the jack and crank. Not as elegant as Jon's classy leather bag but it works and you can't see it anyway.

I know you have wanted it for some time and I have not responded. Sorry. If you supply me a dimensioned drawing to work from, I can whip something up for you.
