Roadster seats are going back in at the end of the week. Door panels being recovered now. While the door panels are off, I'm thinking of having some door dings removed by the PDR dude. But.. I lowered the windows to the the door panel removal. To raise them, I'll have to reconnect the battery and put the key ignition to position 2. The seats will be connected, so that'll take care of avoiding the air bag light there... but... stoopid question; If the door panels are still off, this won't make the air bag light come on will it? ('01 with side airbags). There's no electrical connection, except for the speakers and the side mirror switch control. Dumb question. I'm almost too embarassed to ask.  |

2. No, you will not get an airbag light just because door panels are off. As long as the side airbags are still connected to their wire harnesses.

Also note that the entire airbag assembly stays in the door when you remove the panel.
