 Koni DA Top Nut

Does anybody know how the heck you torque the 19mm top nut on Koni DAs, and at the same time, keep the shaft from turning by holding it with an 11mm wrench?

I know there's got to be a special tool for this - someplace - but what do you call it, and where do you find it?

Help will be greatly appreciated.

Ideally, you need what's called an open back wrench. It's a non-ratcheted right-angle socket wrench that's open for the shaft to pass through so you can hold it with that 11mm.

I had the following made up when doing SA Koni shocks on my Z3 M coupe.
Also did a 19 mm one for my ti. Not familar with DA shocks.

For the rears, I use the Snap-on stem socket with a 16 mm crow foot.

Thanks, Kaz, for the open back tip, and thank you Ron for the pics showing what you did. That has actually been what I was thinking - to modify a 19mm deep socket, and grind it so it can be held with a crowfoot.

FYI - my TCKR DA Coilovers have a 19mm nut with 11mm shaft.

Thank you again - you guys have been tremendous!

I just use an impact gun. I have a small 1/2" drive that does about 100 ft-lbs, so just runj it up moderately tight with that.
