I will be looking at a '98 Atlanta Z3 on Monday, and I called BMW to give them the VIN so I can find out as much as I can about the car before I take a look.

One of the options mentioned to me, in addition to the chrome line interior, was the "Door Mirror Caps in Chrome".

What threw me off is that I've NEVER seen a Z3 with that option... at least what I think they mean by that and what the dealers helped confirm.

When I hear "door mirror caps in chrome", I think that the left & right door mirrors are chrome instead of the body coloured paint.

Usually if there are parts like that, you can buy them separately through BMW, but apparently nobody's heard of it.

Is this something anyone is familiar with? Any insight on this subject would be very helpful to me.
