The Maybach will even blow away the largest 7er of all, that cartoon caricature of a Roller known as the Rolls-Royce Phantom.

any bimmer beats it, in terms of driving enjoyment even a base 3 series

any bimmer beats it, in terms of driving enjoyment even a base 3 series | yes, it is very expensive. but since a lot of what goes on on this website is breastbeating, it is therefore appropriate for me to say that the mayback 57 BLOWS THE DOORS OFF ANY BIMMER. and yes, i have to report it is VERY fun to drive. i disagree about the looks. it looks quite distinctive.

(But the 2007 S class looks a lot like a baby Maybach.) I have driven it, too. It blows the doors off all BMWs EXCEPT the current M5 (and the soon-to-be-imported M6; 5.3 sec vs. 4.5 sec 0-60). So, I disagree on that last point. It's fun to drive on the freeway but quite a chore on Mulholland Highway, Old Topanga Canyon Road, CA 23 to Fillmore or from Westlake to Malibu and similar twisty streets where the Bimmers shine.
Has anyone driven the BMW-built Roller? I wonder if it drives like a luxo barge. My suspicion is that the BMW soul has not been transplanted into it and that it drives the same way my Dodge Ram turbodiesel dually drives, although a little less bumpy.
