 Heater blowing Hot then Cool?

undefinedHello, I just bought a 1998 Z3 manual 2.8 Havent put 30 miles on it and discovered when heater is set for heat, it will blow hot air for a short period then cool air.

Would that be a thermostat sticking?

Any opinion would be greatly appreciated. Also if there is anything else I should know about this model, bugs etc. please let me be aware.

Thank you.

Danny

Mine tends to blow cooler air when below 2000 RPM.

Could that be the case with your car too?

When I am stopped at a signal or stop sign or just stopped it starts to blow cool air. Then when I start moving again it gets very hot. Sound like yours?

Assuming normal, that's the way it is. The colder it is the more it shows up.
If the heat control is not all the way up it lets cold air in.
My '01 M coupe has a pump in the heater line.
Doubt that your car does.
