I was in Newport Beach today, sunny-80 degrees and I spot a red M3 vert cruising PCH, top down and the lame a$$ windows were rolled up. I don't get it  Plus, the guy had a baseball hat on and mind you, the speeds are 35 to 45 tops. Not surprised about this though... no girlies in the car either. I can't help it, it's painful to see. |

I can't help it, it's painful to see. | Wouldn't bother me. Unless it's raining, if I'm driving the 650i the top is always down. Maybe he was having an asthma attack.

I had a 330 vert. You need to roll the windows up to hear the stereo better. The HK stereo is not all that great and even worse in convertibles.

The windows up blocks noise as well. Maybe there were trucks, buses or motorcycles around. Maybe he was on the phone. Maybe he had the a/c on cause it was too warm for him. It's his car he can do what he wants.
It doesn't bother me to see someone with a cab with in a different configuration than I am in. It is their car and they can drive it how they want. As long as they don't drive stupid or get in my way 
Sometimes it's too hot, too windy, too cold, too sunny...............whatever. It's personal preference of the owner in my opinion.

The only time I have the windows up and the top down is when I am on the highway. At speeds above 70.
It cuts down on the buffeting significantly.
If I am at 60 MPH or less the windows are down.

No, it doesn't bother me. Why should it? Apparently he was feeling comfortable.
