 Hunter doc on tire mounting

I didn't realize the roadstars warranted their own supplement to the Hunter manual.

Problem is that the techs don't follow it. Steel bar against the aluminum wheel dings it every time.

The techs at my local dealer do follow it. I've had tires removed/mounted there twice now with no damage. But I posted the link so that folks can print it and take it to their local Hunter-equipped shop.

That was timely, I'm getting 2 new rear tires mounted soon. I printed out the pages to show the tire guy.

im assuming its because the OE Dunlops 8080Es have the incorporated rim protector which makes getting the tire off/on difficult. that and the rear rims are wide (for 245 tires) and have a substantial offset

Nope, it's because the rims have an assymetric hump in the middle that supposed to help prevent the tire coming off the rim in the case of a blowout. Makes mounting the tires a real PITA!
