 Radio Code Recovery?

The M Coupe I bought came but it does not have any manuals in the car and nobody can find the radio code for it.

It's a 2000 M Coupe with the in-dash CD.

Is there a way to recover it or get it from BMW?

I have done this before 2 ways--pull radio and get the serial no., write to BMW, they will send you the code.

Pull radio, get serial no., go to dealer, they can look it up.

Here is another way to get the S/N :

Turn off radio, turn on radio, within 10 sec, hold down "m" button for 10 sec or more till display shows S/N.
Then do what Dale (coronet) says to get the code number.

The 2000 and later manuals can still be downloaded (pdf form) from BMW's owner's circle website.

If that's not accessible to you in Canada, perhaps it could be downloaded stateside and a CD sent to you...

Note: this will not solve your radio code dilema, but may prove useful for others bits of information.

It's not available to people in Canada. If someone was willing to download it and email/ftp it to me I'd greatly appretiate it. I still want to get original copies so I'll have to watch eBay.
