On the cars (Z4, E46) that come with the interior trunk open switch, is the switch disabled with the car in motion?

It does not have an interior trunk release switch, but it does have one on the key. The key trunk open switch is disabled when the car is in motion. I would think an interior switch would also be disabled.

I would think an interior switch would also be disabled. | If you ever want a project to do  , there is a retrofit kit for upgrading the E46 to an inside trunk release. It includes the button and wiring to trigger the release. It also will light the button.

The E46 interior trunk open switch showed up yesterday.
I found the trunk lid motor relay coil plus wire.
Director of Greenville BMW tech support, Dwayne Mosley,
sent me the switch mating connector info.

1 each Connector cover 61 13 8 373 662
3 each Connector pin 61 13 0 005 197
John Firestone will be using one of his MAC controllers to
disable the interior trunk release switch with vehicle speed (VSS).
He will also accomodate the main controller for remote trunk open.
