I did a bunch of searching on the site and could not come to a conclusion if people thought it was worthwhile to change out the 'lifetime' transmission and diff oil. I also read of people swapping ATF for MTL and that shifting improved.
What's the general take? I'd like to replace my tranny and diff fluid with Redline fluids. I just can't see any oil lasting for the lifetime of a vehicle.

It's not lifetime, and don't use redline.
Interesting factoid: Bob Tunnell discovered that his diff ran 20 degrees cooler with Mobil 1 than Redline in it. For some inexplicable reason, he still runs redline, but I do NOT recommend it.
Change with the OEM stuff every now and then.

Never heard of problems with redline before.
The OEM stuff is just hard to find and rather expensive from what I've discovered. Might be the route to go though.

And I found that it only lasted about 500 miles in my xi before it was no better than the 30K OEM fluid it replaced.
