Its getting REALLY HARD to get into first and second gear. I wonder why? Shift pins? I felt like I needed a 36" extension on the shift lever today!

Bent shift forks? No lube?

Is it hard to engage 1st at a standstill? Could be clutch disc wear.
I drove an 00 M Coupe today that had a standard length shift lever and it reminded me of my old F-250 (with a 36" shift lever). This Coupe has a really unique whistling noise when coming to a stop or getting underway. Must be a characteristic of the Dinan SC (which may be for sale to make way for an AA turbo).

No, really Hot actually 80 or so, and a lot of stop and go driving today.
Almost impossible to get it in first or second at a full stop. comes and goes in severity.

Do you have a clutch stop? If so, remove it.
Also, you may want to bleed the clutch line.

Yeah, I keep cutting my clutch stop shorter, but its not working. I cant use it.
Oh well...
Do what I did, replace the transmission.
