M coupe plastic model build up

Thanks to Pinecone, I'm able to pickup this model kit for a reasonable price. Anyways I've started on it a few weeks ago, dumped the body into a bath of brake fluid, and started waiting patiently for the paint to be stripped. As I checked out the body today, I noticed the paint is coming off so I scrubbed the remaining off with a brush, and applied a coat of primer to the body. I'll try to document the whole building process for those who are interested, and hopefully some of you guys will share pictures of your kit build up in the near future. Anyways here's a picture of the body with a coat of grey primer. The body will be painted a custom mix of estoril blue. Interior will be estoril/black. Stay tuned for more updates!

I did not think that break fluid would be good for plastic bodies. Other question, who is the manufacturer of the kit? I have been working on a MC that is made out of a resin body. I am finishing up the exterior work (decals. paint details). The interior is completed with roll cage. I purchased it off ebay and the model is an import from Belgum, model maker Francorchamps. See attached photos.

There are a TON of decals to be applied. Not sure if I want to apply them or make the car look like a racing test bed for the racing scene. Still debating. I also just purchased that Tamiya BMW/williams F1 FW-24. Going to start that one soon. That one will take a long time, looking over the instructions, it looks like I will need to do a ton of pre-painting , should be fun.

Anyways, hope your model turns out great. Have fun.
