I really prefer the less radical look of the Coupe nose vs the MC's.
Since I will be having to replace the bumper cover for my 00 MC, am I able to substitute the Coupe style without other structural changes?
Any views on impact on aerodynamics?
Thanks

IMO, i would think the Z Coupe front bumper would be a direct replacement on the M Coupe with out any major structural modifications. Its hard to imagine that BMW would go that far in upgrading the standard Coupe into an M (body-wise).
i have adjusted my front bumper according to the TIS doc 51 11 001: http://www.rfdm.com/tis/51_11_001.pdf and it seems the same for both Z and M Coupes.
At the least, you will be loosing two brake ducts and gaining two fog lamps.

Reading the post on brake ducts it looks like this might be a major difference and a deal breaker for me.

JC | You could probably modify the Coupe front bumper to eliminate the fog lights and use the openings for brake ducts.

Along with the brake duct mounts, the coupe doesn't use the pork chops on either side that the M under cover and oil cooler stuff bolts to. Maybe it would all bolt up to the coupe. Would need a coupe bumper to look at or some good pics to tell.
