X5 Problems
I have 2001 X5 super sport. My battery was dead so I went down and purchased another one. After I hooked up the new battery my alarm went off and the front windshield wipers went crazy. Now my Keyless remote does not work, my entire radio-climate control system has no power, my back tail gate has no power. I have an error message that says "self level susp- inact. I talked to the dealership and they said "Bring it on in" like they always do.... Am I totally screwed!!!!!! Please help!!!!!

if it were me, I would disconnect the battery again. Make sure the terminals are clean. I would hook up the neg (ground) cable first, and then hook up the positive terminal. I would try to minimize sparking. Make sure the neg terminal is tight before hooking up the positive. I have never had the problem you describe, but I do know that people replace there own batteries. It sounds like you have ground fault problems. If you do what I suggest, you MAY have a shot a fixing it. If not, you are taking it to the dealer anyway!
