Just read in Roundel (don't know how much weight to put into it) that BMW will release a new M roadster with the new M3 V8 running about 400hp.
Damn.
If that's true, I wonder how it will compare to a Corvette Z51.

That's mostly what we're hearing around here as well. There are still some nay sayers around though. So. who really knows?

If it's real, the pricing will be interesting. Somehow I don't see it coming in at less than a Z51. Maybe less than a C6 Z06.

B. | Well, the part about the M roadster coming is true. However, all my sources say it will have the S54. I know the early prototypes had the S54.
In my opinion, it depends on when the E90 M3 will be introduced. If it's after the Z4M, then my guess is they will start with the S54, and switch to the V-8 when the E90 M is introduced. Otherwise, theyll go with the V-8 to start with. We'll know more about a year from now, as that's when they'll start producing more M roadsters.
