 License plate screws

I tried the search but was unable to find a part number, seems others have had trouble too
Im looking for the part number for the screws that bolt the license plate to the frame they have a lip for the cap covers
the only ones i can find are the ones that bolt front bracket to car , but i need plate to bracket screws, anyone know ??

The ones that we use are generic, they are not a BMW part. I'm not sure what BMW has in their system for screws, but I know that you can buy those screws from your dealers parts department or probably a local hardware store.

You don't need to buy "OEM screws" come on guys use common sense. Just use any screw that fits good (make sure it is not too tight)

I know it sounds a little hokey, but it works great.

If you look in the aisle that has the license plate frames at your local Pep Boys, you'll find some great screws just for this purpose. They have a security Allen head - an Allen Head with a post in the middle so only the special Allen wrench that is included with the package will work. The package also includes chrome snap on screw covers. I think the item runs about $4 and includes 4 screws, 4 chrome caps and the special Allen wrench.

He's looking for the screws that will retain the trim cap. Not just any screw will do, despite what you consider common sense to be.

Let us know what you find Max
