 Exhaust system

Hi all,

Any experience of a " no catalyst " bi-tube (like Supersprint or ....) on a M coupé ???

What could be really the gain in power ??

Thanks in advance for your information.

Overall, exhaust systems don't do much in the way of performance. They sound better, and reduce weight in the rear. But then again, that upsets the weight distribution.

I think the only way I'd add supersprints are if I get Randy Forbes's subframe repair to coutneract the weight added from the fix.

Minor gains on modern exhaust systems. Mainly looks and sound.

I'm not sure we should be so quick to respond 'minor'.... he said no cats, but I'm not sure that's what he really meant. On my car, I'd love to go cat-free and coat the headers. I just can't do it w/o feeling guilty about the emissions on a street car.

No missunderstanding gentlemen : my purpose is to use no-cat only on track (where it is allowed in France ) .

But some friends tell me that such SuperSprint no-cat intermediate bi-tube (on engine S50 B32) does not work very well with the stock rear mufflers ...

Stock rear mufflers should be more restrictive than SuperSprint DTM mufflers ; is it really enough to not work correctly, particularly in low revs 2500 - 3500 rpm ????

Any experience on that ?
