 Hatch trim removal question

The piece highlighted in the picture...how do I take it off? There are screws on each end, plus four screws under trim caps. What else is there? There's got to be something else, because even with those 6 screws removed, the thing will not budge. Trim clips? Other hidden screws?

Thanks,

John

There are are four (4) plastic nuts (2 near each taillight) use a 10 mm nut driver and you're in there.

Next, mark the hole to cut out for the I-beam...

Oops! sorry, I've been doing those in my sleep lately

Thank you, sir. I guess that I thought the trim piece was much smaller than that, and didn't include the vertical carpeted portion.

I forgot to mention that you'll also have to remove the tie-down ring. There's a flat plastic cover behind the ring that conceals the two (2) screws behind it.

There's also a push in expanding rivet in the same area.

The plastic piece is a separate part. Don't remember if it's fastened to the carpet from below though. Let us know when you get it out.
