I really did not want to get to this point. But it is done and it is not because I have not tried hard to get it straightened up without making too much noise. As you might know I pickup up my car from service after being there for 2 months and a half due to BMWNA refusal to fix it. They finally gave in and fixed my car properly but my local dealer managed to make my not so short visit a bit more interesting than necessary by messing up 3 of my rims that were basically brand spanking new. And now their best offer is to refinish them. I really do not think so...
So I will have a chat with the service manager in an attempt from my side to get it straightened up in an acceptable fashion. Here I need your help. I would like to know what is the dealer cost of chrome shadow rims (front and rear). I need that because I would like at least to be informed and not taken for a ride by the service manager regarding the real cost of the rims.
They finally succeeded in making me 1000% (that is not a typo) sick and tired of BMW service. This is unacceptable. I am done and through with this brand. I really do not want to hear anything more about this company. This is unbelievable. Every tiime I need warranty work something gets messed up and nobody wants to assume responsability for it. This is in addition to having to fight getting the warranty work performed in the first place.
BTW in addition to the messed up rims, they put the wrong air filter in my car, along with destroying my glovebox latch cover.
Thanks for reading and I would appreciate any help on this issue. Florian

I just called to get a set, and they retail for $513 each, and are the same price for front and rear. Not sure about cost for the dealer though. I would make sure they make them right and not just fix em.

As I mentioned the fronts I know for sure they are cheaper. What I am interested here in is dealer cost - the price my dealer would pay to get new wheels.
Thanks, Florian

Thanks for reading and I would appreciate any help on this issue. Florian | You will have to call someone and ask to know for sure. The non chrome ones are $298.00 and $338.40 net in the 06/99 price book. But based on the pricing changing monthly on some items who knows. The 04/04 Mitchell book shows the non chrome ones as $438 and $482 retail. The chrome ones are $467 and $482 retail. Since the margin on wheels is 35% the net would be $303.55 and $313.30 but I wouldn't count on it. Time to subsribe to the Mitchel book again. Around $260 per year for six issues.

It sounds more like you need a new dealer than a new brand, though I can understand being totally frustrated with BMWNA.
So... let's suppose you manage to get the dealer to pay for new rims, or give them to you at their cost. Who's going to mount the tires? Don't make us all drive to GA to beat some sense into you.

Thanks for reading and I would appreciate any help on this issue. Florian | Good luck Florian. With things like this, just don't give in and be a "squeeky wheel". When I had to get my red car serviced down there I used Nalley and was happy with them (for a dealership they were good). Maybe try them in the future??
