that the vast majority of these posts are on the 3 series. the top of the line 7 series has a fraction of the amount of posts of the 3 series. what this tells me is that the people who can really afford these cars dont feel the need to "chat" about them on bimmerfest. wahhh.

It's a whole different market. And that's good, because the profit on the 5/6/7/8s keeps BMW in business (And racing). It also enables us to keep driving our humble 3 series'. Enthusiasts...I think yes. Most of the 7 owners that I know had "other" BMWs in their life and know a lot more about the marque than you'd think.

Of course, what I should have said (and what I really meant) is that generally people that buy big luxury boats aren't car enthusiasts. I know there's exceptions...like the guy that put a 6-spd manual and a supercharger in his E38.
