 Fare thee well, Z4

the lease is up on my Z4 3.0 and I turned her back in to the stealer today

I dropped her off at the stealer bodyshop a month ago just as I was moving to Texas so today was the first time for me to see it with the hit & run damage to the LF fender and left driver door repaired. I was mildly surprised, except for the replacement fender missing the OE serial number tag it was fixed as good as factory, no tapelines, no overspray, etc. literally perfect

I was really sad to leave her sitting on the stealer lot, the Z4 3.0 is a way fun car to run around town in

I'm curious. Are there a lot of people who will do this, or will they keep their Z4s like us Z3 owners do?

I got the Z4 solely for weekend parking lot fun , frankly I anticipated an MZ4 to be available now so I intentionally leased it for only two years, missed the boat on that one

We're turing in our "autocross support vehicle" Saturday. We were going to pick up the new X5 tomorrow night, but the weather is so lousy we're putting it off until the weekend.

I always wanted to make a run in the X5 (at an event) but I never got the chance, maybe the new one will be the ticket

So, given what you know now, would you have leased it for longer, bought it to begin with or skipped it entirely?

And it was a fun car to run...just not quite as fun as something else. Thanks for your generosity. Hope to return the favor sooner or later.
