What kind of mirror did you go with? Why did you choose that one and do you like it?

TIA.

I got a GM auto dimming mirror.... that's sitting in the "Do Someday" projects box.

I got the small mirror (the default one). I considered the self-dimming one, but it's a little bigger so I passed on it. I'm glad I did. The small mirror has the little lever in the back which can be flipped for night driving. It's not inconvenient to reach up and flip it when needed and I've only had to do that a couple of times.

Good luck and don't worry. You won't go wrong. The elimination of the blind-spot removes a real safety issue.

I also have the small one. But he might be hard to find. I remember someone having trouble contacting him. Good luck.

If you do get one it will be your BEST mod!

I have the Mito self-dimming mirror with outside temperature. I purchased this one primarily because I wanted a self-dimming mirror and outside temperature. It was a bit of a pain in the behind to install because it requires the temp sensor to be in the bumper and the connection has to come into the car, up the A pillar, over the headliner and into the mirror. But, it works perfectly.

Also, I had to get the larger mirror adapter to space the mirror downward enough for full range adjustability. I think it was called the "tall man" adapter. It worked much better than the regular adapter for me.

Got an auto-dimming mirror for around $80 on ebay with a built-in compass. I got the older generation that winds up actually looking like BMW OEM. It just took an hour to wire it in to a harness in the driver's footwell.

It works wonderfully with the top down, because you no longer see the streetlights directly above you as you pass them due to the way a typical day/night mirror works. Getting rid of the damn blind spot was wonderful too.

The mirror was my very first mod, and one of my favorites.

Cheers!
