WOW Randy!!! With the new dual eared diff cover and Ireland bushings the coupe feels more than ever like it's on rails. No noise what so ever from the bushings just the roar of the Eisemann race exhaust.
Once I get the brackets finished for the wheelie bars we'll see if theirs any wheel hop under full boost!

Dr Burr | That's great, I knew you'd be able to instantly tell the difference in handling.
Two (2) more ears are on the way, the Roadster is coming along nicely (more pictures will be in your album tonight).

The elves must've really kicked it into high gear! Hard to believe the Rdstr has only been here a week and the bulk of the work is done
Still need to seal & paint, plus install the Ireland bushings and Ron's shift carrier arm with Delrin bushes. Even given the fact that Sue's family will be here the 31st/1st, I should still have the car finished in under two (2) weeks.

We all appreciate the info and pics you've posted since becoming the expert on this repair. Too bad you're so far away from the NW. What's the chances of having you making a repair "kit"? ... OR ... pre-assembling the re-inforcement piece for a Coupe's hatch flooring area? Also, the "ear" pieces for a 2-eared diff?
So far (knock-on-wood) after over 30 track events, my Coupe's floor is still OK, but ya just never know when that first pop-rivet may decide it's had enough.

Randy and Doug, I too live in the Seattle area and am VERY interested in this mod/upgrade/preventative maintenance. Because I've been participating in One Lap of America the past two years, I've been passing through Ohio relatively frequently. This year's event begins and ends in South Bend, Indiana - I've been seriously contemplating seeing if we could schedule some work in mid-May.
Barring that, getting some sort of kit and getting the work done locally would be even better (because I could get it done before OLoA instead of after). If there is any chance of making this happen, I'd like to work with you guys on it.
There are a number of high quality fabricators here in the area. I'd imagine we could work with one of them to get a project like this done.
What do we need to do to get this ball rolling? jim

By my nearest guess, I'm about 150 miles/2-1/2 hours due East of The Tirerack in South Bend.
We could set something up for May; I figure I'm booked through March, maybe into April right now (assuming no major _transportation_ downtime between cars). I would want the car a minimum of three weeks prior to your deadline. I could arrange for safe storage from the time I'm finished until you pick it up.
While I have been approached about supplying a kit (of sorts) numerous times, right now I can't make them any faster than I need them for the cars I'm doing myself. I have started asking around though, so something might come out of it. It would still require a skilled fabricator/welder for proper installation, it will never be a bolt in kit.
You can contact me directly via E-mail for an FAQ that outlines the job. erandyforbes@aol.com
