I just acquired, through the cleanup of the BMW dealership that my wife works at, a like-new 6 disk CD changer that was originally slated for, among other cars, all '99 M and Z3 Coupes/Roadsters.
The installation instructions can be found at http://www.circlebmw.com/service/access/0004616.htm
From a brief search of the web, it appears to be made by Nakamichi and can be used with any I-Bus equipped car. It goes by both of the following part numbers: 82 11 0 004 616 and 82 11 0 009 836 (this is the part number on the label of my unit).
Is this changer worth anything? Does anyone have one installed? It looks very nice and appears to have been designed to fit in-dash for other OEM applications. It has all of the brackets to attach it within the glove box, although the instructions seem to indicate that the glove box needs trimming to make it fit.
Thanks for any info.

Im sure it is worth something , if it can be mounted in the trunk like the "standard" bmw cd changer can its worth more in my opinion . I would say its atleast 185.00 if its new but thats my opinion

Don't know if that would be considered good or bad.

That changer has a pretty poor reputation for reliability.

Like Kaz mentioned, we were all jazzed when it came out back in the day. But it tends to skip a lot.

When I was searching for an M Coupe to buy back in the late summer, I found a roadster on ebay that had the glove box mounted Nakamichi changer. The owner said that's where it was installed when it was new. I personally considered it to be a negative for the car since it takes up the entire space in the glovebox. The roadster has so little room for interior storage as it is. But I'm sure that it has some value to someone who doesn't have a changer.
Here's a photo of it.
