Only thing I'd be afraid of is the Vanos problem, which is rearing its ugly head on the forums lately. Seems to affect an alarming number of I6 engines. I'm currently trying to find out how widespread the issue is, because my wife's Accord lease is coming to an end next month.

What is this Vanos problem that you are referring to? I have had ignition coil pack problems with my I-6. First time it happened, the dealer replaced it under warranty even though my '03 530i was outside manufacturer's warranty.
But they only replaced the one faulty coil. That was 2 months ago.
Just recently another one of the coils packed up, but this time they wouldn't replace the coil FOC. So I paid for the remaining 5 to be replaced at my own cost.
