Boot time faster with latest CIP?

I have heard that the latest software updates CIP 19.1/19.2 have faster boot times.

Right now I wait about 10-15 seconds before the radio comes on?

I think I remember reading somewhere that the boot process starts when you press the unlock button on the key so try that as you're walking up to the car, even if it isn't locked.

I find with 19.01 (latest is 19.02) that when I unlock the door while approaching the car that I always seem to have the "Accept" screen displayed immediately after starting the engine.

If I unlock my my door (remotely) as I am walking up, get in, fasten seat belt and start the car, I get accept in a couple seconds, overall wait from pressing remote to accept is about 10-15 seconds. I guess this is the same as you are seeing.

Does a reboot of iDrive clear out memory and go with faster boot times the next time you start the car?

Not in my experience.

It seems the boot time has not changed with 19.0x, only that boot initiation is now triggered by things other than just starting the engine.
