I have a 2000 BMW 323CI and my brake pad light just came on, I checked my brake pads and looks like my front needs a replacement. But my question is do I need to also replace the rotors with the front brake pads?? OR Can I just get them Re-Surfaced again?? Some mechanic told me that I can only replace them and bmw rotors cannot be re-surfaced!! Also, need to replace the front sensors too, rite?? HELP!!
THX! in advance!!!

Don`t panic ! When the light comes on, it means "get them replaced *soon*". it does`nt mean you have to pull over and park the car. It`s usually a good idea to replace the rotors (they`re not too expensive) along with the pads. If you have any mechanical ability, it`s an easy DIY, and you can do all 4 wheels for around $300, as opposed to around $900-1000 at a BMW dealer. Independent shops should charge around $600 to do all 4 wheels.
