Hello. I'm new here and had a question I'm sure you can easily answer. I'm trying to find out if there was ever a 2001 330ic convertible with a V-8? A friend says that's what she has, but I can not find any info. about it being available with an 8. Also, what kind of performance numbers would this car (or the 6 cylinder if that's all it came with) put up?

3 series NEVER had v-8.
New M3 is (2007) rumored to have a v-8.

The performance # can be found on the BMW web site and I don't think there is much (if any) different to the current 330 cic.

There was no standard BMW 330 model with a V8. Racing Dynamics offered a tuned M5 V8 in an M3 body. There are other tuners who could perform V8 conversions too.

I guess she was misinformed/doesn't really know what she's talking about.

I believe there was a rare V8 GTR sold overseas but never a cabriolet.
