And man, that thing is just so boring in person!! From the pictures that I saw, I thought it was a damn good looking car. But seeing it live, bleh! Looks like an Acura RSX on steroids. If I didn't know it was a luxury car, I wouldn't have guessed by looking at it. Just looks like a plain old Toyota. Boring, dull, uninspired.
I thought that if they offered a stick, it might have been worth looking at. I now think that if they did offer a manual and I walked into a dealership and saw that thing sitting there, I'd just turn right around and walk out. Can't hold a candle to the looks of a BMW. Or an Infiniti or an Audi, for that matter. I was just floored by how pedestrian it was. Ugh!

I like their commercials. The one with the man and woman dancing in the forest is a bit odd, though.

I wouldn't call it ugly...pedestrian is more like it. I drove it vs the E90 on Sunday at the Taste of Lexus Dallas. No doubt, they will take a huge chunk of sales from BMW. The car looks great inside and the quality is there. It drove quite well and a lot of people will go for that. Still, I prefer the E90 in looks and the way it feels on the road. I just don't like the way the rear windows get narrow torwards the back and worst, the heavy looking C pillar, makes it look heavier and bigger than it should. Yes, pedestrian at it's best!

I sat in one during the weekend. I like IS350's exterior design. The front seats are great. However, the back seats are VERY tight. I also don't like the fact that the backseats cannot fold down for more trunk space.

Ed | My tiny 5'2 wife couldnt fit behind me in the IS250 when I (6'2) was seated in a comfortable driving position. Couldnt dream of having an actual adult-sized person back there.
For reference, my 3 door Integra seems to have more usable rear legroom.
