 2004 645ci coupe MAJOR Problems

My 645ci coupe 2004, lags between all gears both in auto or manual. It also has a tendancy to choke and cough or sometimes a hesitatation while changing gears, and sometimes it seems as the the car will simply shut down / Stall. Then suddenly it goes like a shot ! I have brought it to the dealer three times, two times it was a computer update, this did not solve the problem the third time I went in an they said the could do anything because there are no updates !!! Maybe my expectations are too high, but the sales person completely misrepresented this vehicle.at times it wont turn over in nuetral I have to shift over to drive and then to neutral for it to turn over.

Not only does your SMG have problems, but your obviously defective computer has cross-posted this message in multiple forums.

I don't see any specific problems on the SMG described by you, and I am led to believe that it is possible a driver's issue

SMG is not a slush box Auto tranny. Its a Stick w. computer controlled clutch. Any attemp to drive the SMG without a fair understanding of a Manual transmission is foolish.

No doubt, as the vette is almost 1,000 lbs lighter than the 645. I hope you didn't buy the car for its superior performance , because its a GT car, but not a SPORTS CAR ala corvette.

So going back to my question, what exactly is "wrong" w/ the car's SMG. Please be more specific so we can chime in to help.

Thanks,

beewang
