 wheel wobble? Strange?

I was driving a few days ago and a wobble developed, much like the front wheels were out of balance. It is along with a very soft metalic ticking noise. It only does it at 40mph+ and dosent always do it? The wheels are balanced, i cant figure out what it could be, any ideas? Thanks1

Check for worn tie rod ends.

My E36 did the same thing, around 37-38 mph. Supposedly it was something inherent to the model that just couldn't be fixed, so I always drove faster. But, depending on mileage...could be the tie rod ends as noted by another poster.

I doubt that it is inherent to the model, it does it off anf on and at no particular speed. Like it will do it for 10 miles or so at all speeds, then i will stop and go in somewhere and when i start to drive again it is fine? Its not brake related. Could it be the control arms? I have read about that in other threads. Mialage is 45K

Well, that's what you get for buying your car at Weeble's BMW.

What are you talking about? I bought this car from a private individual in PA.
