  Individual?!

 Individual?!



I was browsing the international BMW website, BMW.com and i found the "individual" 3 series.

this has hundreds of more options than the ones we are given at bmwusa

why wasnt i told about this from my dealer when i bought my car. They have red leather and black "piano" trim, and any type of wheels you want, and different paints...

I would have taken this route had i been informed of it!

Not available in the US. You might be able to talk a dealer into an individual color, but that will cost about $2000-$2500.

Because the Individual program is not available in the US. But like hugh1850 said, you can get special paint for a nominal charge.

Apparently i've got a 2000 540i with the individual package. One of the doorsill steps (rear passenger) is different than the others and says "BMW Individual". I bought the car used the beginning of this summer and haven't been able to find any information about the individual package for this car at all. I didn't think much of it until recently since nothing on the car looks very special or "individual" at all but I just had the car in the body shop for a quarter panel dent and the guy at the shop was convinced that the entire car had been repainted since it had a different finish than any other BMW he's seen. The carfax on the car didn't list anything noteworthy at all and a full respray of a car with less than 40k is kinda odd unless there was some major damage.

I guess it's possible that the previous (1st) owner could have replaced that one doorsill with a BMW Individual doorsill but that seems odd to me as well
