E36 M3 Evo SMG
I am considering buying one of these motors, but I have heard some really bad reports about the gearbox giving problems. I dont know how much of these rumours I have told are true or not, but as they wouldn't be the most popular car on the road, should the gearbox give me any bother it could be very difficult getting a replacement. So before I go and buy one of these I would like to know if anyone has any experience of them
Any advice, whether it be good or bad would be very appreciated. Cheers.

I would try some good independant shops for their opinions. They may know of some around and how much trouble they are.
The SMG II does have a few warts, but overall is very good.
