I was there last week. 1.42 Euros on the highway, 1.37 on the countryside for a liter.
That's about 6.74 USD per gallon.

That's about 6.74 USD per gallon. | This is all about the letter I'm sending to Autoweek (Rich Ceppos in particular, who I can't stand, usually gets something wrong and stated that gas was going for $8.02/gallon there, which is obviously way off by about $2.00) Your figures were right on BTW westwest888!

1.42-1.44 for super premium. I'm not sure on the octane rating because it didn't say. I got 100 octane at one of the stations right next to the port, so no autobahn crusing with 100 octane for me.

I think diesel was about 1.20 or perhaps 1.17. It was way cheaper than even regular, which was about 1.32.
Your magazine editor friend may have made those numbers up speculating that gas would go up by the time the article printed (as much as 2 months out).
