Is there any way for the general public to attend SEMA? I checked their website and it seems to only invite the media and companies in the industry.

I got 3 "tickets" no problem - because I attended preious years.
When I Itried to add a friend - SEMA emailed and wanted a copy of the business tax certificate and Bus. license. When we tried to re-register him as an "instructior" they CALLED to verify before processing the order.
It's getting more difficult.
