Aux Input

I recently installed the BMW Auxiliary Input in my '03 325i. I also purchased the Belkin Auto Kit. I have opted not run the audio for my iPod through the Belkin Auto Kit because I have encountered unacceptable levels of electrical interference. This interference also occurs when I run the audio through the headphone jack and simply have the iPod plugged into the Auto Kit to charge.

I am not concernced with this audible interference, though. My real problem is that when I have my iPod plugged into the Belkin Auto Kit for charging purposes, the head unit will intermittently fail to recognize the auxiliary input. This only occurs when the iPod is plugged into the Auto Kit.

Any ideas as to why this might be happening?

I just came across this post and I am having a similary issue. I will be listining to my IPod and all of the sudden, it will switch to the CD Player. I haven't isolated what is causing the problem but I have it cradled in the DLO TransPod.

I think the problem is more likely with the cable that I have going into the input. Anyone else having problems with the aux input being recognized?
