Thanks | Craftsman. Just remember that they are not lifetime guaranteed.

Thanks | I use a cheapo AutoZone house brand- 'Great Neck Tools'. Works well enough.
| | Reply » torque wrench??? | A search for the words torque wrench in the title turns up 18 thread (including this one), as shown in this screen shot from the search. I have no idea why some of those threads were found when the don't seem to have "torque wrench" in the title, but be that as it may. And there are lots more that talk about torque wrenches but don't have those words in the title. You might want to do the search yourself and read those threads for information about which type/brand to buy and for information about proper wrenching technique. Also mentioned in some of those threads is what size socket you'll need to the oil filter canister top and where to buy them. The popular brands for us DIYers are Harbor Freight, Husky (Home Depot house brand), Sears Craftsman, K-D Tool, SK, and FACOM, in roughy increasing order of price/quality (just be careful of the Harbor Freight as their quality control leaves a bit to be desired at times). You'll probably want to get a "click" type wrench rather than a beam/pointer type.

Thanks | I would recommend spending a bit more, and get a "good one". I recently had my 18+ year old Utica tested (http://www.cooperpowertools.com/brands/utica/index.cfm) and it was right on the money. My buddy's two year old Craftsman, was out of spec and in need of calibration; neither had been dropped, and both were always returned to zero after use.
Whatever you get, get it tested at least every few years. Most manufacturers will test and calibrate their own wrenches for $25 to $40.
