 BMW open wheeler?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering whether or not a certain concept open-wheeler track car was made by BMW. I recently saw a vehicle made by Ariel, and was sure I have seen that type of frame structure somewhere before. The frame structure I have reproduced poorly (MS Paint) below:

If anyone knows any details about the manufacturer, websites, production date etc. that would be great. I have searched but come up with nothing so far.

Thanks for replying, as I stated in my first post I am aware of the vehicle produced by Ariel (the Atom), that was what reminded me of the other vehicle I had seen earlier. The manufacturer may not have been BMW, but thats what I recall.

As in this car? The car I recall had the frame visible on the outside like the Atom (but that sure is a nice car). Possibly the car I'm thinking of was mis-labeled (from a newspaper) a couple of years ago, and it really was the Atom.

I really want an Atom 2.

I'd buy one and daily drive it.

You think I'm joking? Even in "sunny" Florida. I'd daily drive it.
