tinting and radio reception

I remember reading somewhere that bmw's antennas are in the windows and that tinting will cause worse reception. anyone with tint get bad reception?

Only the tint that has metal in it might cause a problem with antenna reception. Does all tint have metal in it?

I wouldn't think so but....

I put on the regular tint and now my AM radio reception is very poor. No effect on FM though.

I wouldn't think so but....

Ceramic tint from Huper Optik or FormulaOne (Pinnacle) will prevent such problems. They are not cheap tints, between $400 and $500 installed.
