I'm new to this site, so if I violate any standards of conduct, please forgive me.
I recently purchased a 1999 528I that included with it Digital Signal Processing for the CD exchanger. When the car was appraised and purchased, a CD changer was not included in the car, but through my relationship with the shop that sold the car to me, they agreed to unattach a Pioneer Premier CDX-P676 6-disc changer from another car on the lot and give it to me. Only problem is the CD player is not wired for DSP and my car is.
Is there anything that can be done, some sort of hybrid type of interface or wiring harness or something (now i'm entering into deeper waters than I'm completely comfortable with) that can be utilized in order to make either the car and the cd player behave more cooperatively? If there isn't sort of middle ground the two different signals can find, then do you know of any upstanding dealers that would be interested in some kind of deal: this for that?
thanks
