 '01 525it-Electronic Key and Tailgatge/Rear Window



6 days ago the electronic key stopped remote operation and the tailgate and rear window will not open/release. When you squeeze the tailgate release, you can hear a "motor".

Any suggestions before taking it into the dealership since there is still 6 weeks left on the manufacturer warranty.

Also, anyone have an extended warranty for 5's that they strongly recommend?

its a trunk release. Take it to the dealer immediately. Tell us what they say!
