As some of you may know i have the engine out and doing a rebuild. Well the battery is disconnected and so the trunk has been just resting on the latch so not to lock.....guess what...i accidentally closed it today and it locked . Now i have no power to release the lock and i dont have folding rear seats...is there any other way to manually open the trunk?

is there a trick to opening it with a key cause i tried it and nothing happens, i believe when you use the key its still an electronic opening but i thought there was a way to open it elsewise.....

Open it with the key, turn it further past the stop and the trunk will unlock. It is also in the manual.

figured it out! Turn counter-clockwise firmly and it opens.....
